About us

The Police Federation of England and Wales (PFEW) has been the trusted voice of over 145,000 rank-and-file police officers for more than 100 years. Established in 1919, we’re proud to represent constables, sergeants, inspectors and more recently special constables.

From campaigning for fair pay and conditions to advising on operational issues and shaping legislation, we are committed to making a difference for those who protect and serve. We also provide essential training in equality, promotion, discipline, and health and safety to empower officers throughout their careers.
